The Mountain Road Resort Overview:
Complimentary Continental Breakfast:
Start your morning by the fire in The Library (located in The Main Lodge) with a cup of Vermont's own Green Mountain Coffee. Then enjoy our complimentary continental breakfast while reading a variety of complimentary newspapers. In addition to Green Mountain coffee, enjoy a fine variety of Bigelow teas, orange juice, cranberry juice, and V8 tomato juice. Breakfast items include a wide and healthy selection of fresh fruit, Cabot yogurt in a variety of flavors, oatmeal, granola, and assorted cereals.
Our bagels are freshly baked each morning and delivered by Stowe's own The Bagel - a local bakery. Our milk and orange juice are locally sourced from The Mansfield Dairy (established in 1939) the only local dairy in Stowe and famous for their skiing cow logo milk cartons. We bake all our own muffins (cranberry, blueberry, orange cinnamon, banana nut and morning glory, among others) in house each day. During peak periods - vacation week or holidays we offer chef prepared breakfast items. Our ham, cheese and green and red pepper quiche is a guest favorite! Wherever possible we use locally sourced ingredients.
The Mountain Road Resort and Grounds:
The Mountain Road Resort is located on the Mountain Road in Stowe, Vermont. We are approximately one mile from the center of Stowe and 4 miles from the Stowe/Mt. Mansfield Ski area. The resort is spread out across 16 acres. The facility is divided into two distinct properties - The Main Lodge and The Club.
The Main Lodge:
The main lodge contains Deluxe accommodations, Premier Deluxe accommodations, The Alpenhaus and our two-story Ultra Deluxe Suites - The Savoie and the St. Christoph. New for the 2008 winter season is The Alpenhaus. The Alpenhaus is a two story, three bedroom condominium. The Alpenhaus offers a spacious retreat with private parking, a full sized kitchen, and dining table. There is a mini-business center that offers a desktop PC, printer, copier, fax machine and as always free high speed wireless internet. The living room offers a 40" wall mounted flat panel HDTV, DVD, etc. it is a great space for relaxing and entertaining after skiing. The second floor offers three bedrooms. All of which offer Cable TV/HBO, DVD/MP3/CD players and IPod dock alarm clocks. The Alpenhaus can accommodate up to eight individuals and is an excellent value for a mid-week off-peak vacation. In the center of The Main Lodge you will find The Den and The Library. The Den is the main lobby and registration area where our guests relax fireside and enjoy a variety of complimentary beverages and snacks. You will always find a selection of hot appetizers or a fine cheese and English cracker presentation. This is a popular spot for relaxing and socializing.
The Library contains our breakfast area and Wine Bar. The Library is a 30 seat space utilized for breakfast in the morning and a place to relax fireside in the evening. You will always find a large selection of hardback novels for your reading pleasure.
The Wine Bar is open seven days a week from 4:00 - 11:00. We are proud to offer a carefully selected selection of world-class wine and beer. Our wine and beer are reasonably priced and we offer selected wines by the glass or bottle. Every weekend we select a specialty beer and offer it to our guests at a discounted rate.
The Main Lodge also contains the Alpine Terrace. A popular flowered garden with patio seating and tables in summer. In winter it is a popular gathering spot by a roaring outdoor fire where many of our guests relax for Apres ski or roasting marshmallows.
Finally, relax under the stars at The heated eight person Moon Spa Jacuzzi (located in the west wing of the main lodge).

The Club Building:
The Club Building contains our Ultra Deluxe Accommodations on two stories. There are fifteen accommodations and all have gas fireplaces and are individually designer decorated. The St. Moritz and The Chamonix are the largest suites in The Club. Each has a full kitchen, living room (with a sleeper couch) and full sized dining table. These suites offer two queen beds in the master bedroom. Both offer a private patio/deck with a private outdoor hot tub. St. Moritz and Chamonix are among our most popular rental suites.
The Kitzbuhel and St. Anton are also popular offering slightly smaller suite accommodations with mini-euro kitchens and a host of amenities. There are a variety of accommodations to suite every taste and style in The Club. Our reservation hotline (800.367.6873) will gladly answer any questions you may have about individual accommodations in The Club.
In The Club you will find our award winning Aqua Center. The Aqua Center contains our indoor heated pool, Grand Jacuzzi and Sauna. A new addition to The Aqua Center is our HDTV theater projector. Children and adults of all ages love watching ski movies and family friendly movies in a two story high format while relaxing in the pool or Jacuzzi.
Our mini-fitness center is also located in The Club and is open from 7:00 - 11:00 every day. The Club also contains vending machine and ice machines, a selection of constantly changing tourist brochures, etc. The Overlook Room is on the second story of the club and offers a selection of classic video games and board games. The guest laundry is also located on the second floor of the club.
